How do I keep leaves from getting in my gutters in my storage building. Also how to clean them?

Cut your trees down...lol...Only kidding. They do have commercial grade gutter guards. They are fairly expensive but can eliminate that pesky chore a couple times a year. We've elected to have a cleaning "day" at each of our stores where this is one of the things that gets done. Ladder, gloves, and trash bags.

Ha! I love Kevin's comment about cutting the trees down (if only!) not only would that save time from cleaning out gutters but look how much time we would save keeping our drive aisles and parking areas clean! We do the same as Kevin - we clean gutters in-house with maintenance personnel. For some of our very large properties or multi-story locations, we hire out (follow up is critical here:))

Clogged is an issue we run into all the time as being a cause for water intrusion into buildings. Gutter guards can help but typically end up getting clogged as well. The only real solution is preventative maintenance. Keeping the trees trimmed back helps slow the process as well.
