Hello Wendy! I would definitely get at least three bids with the exact same scope of work. Make sure to include the number of cameras, make sure they are digital and not analog, DVR size and capabilities. I always make sure the cameras are view-able over the internet from my phone/computer. Also, if your plan is to have a monitor in the office for customers to see (it is a great deterrent) - make the monitor large enough to be impactful. Like a 50 inch:)

Agree. Get several quotes for the scope of work, high definition cameras, dvr, digital playback, view from cell phone etc. Also, take into consideration how easy it was to contact the person/company, and how well they were to work with. This is a long standing relationship as expansion and/or maintenance may be necessary. A critical part of the team.

There are only a couple manufacturers to make all the guts of every single brand of camera. The key is to make sure you get a quality camera with at least 3 mp 1080 specs
