Part Time Team Member - Advantage Self Storage
We are Hiring!! SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE! We are seeking a team member with a dynamic personality and a desire to succeed! This position is with a locally owned company that specializes in Self-Storage. Number of hours will vary as this is a part time/floater type position. - MUST be able to work Saturdays 8 - 6 and Sunday's 1 - 5 and occasionally 8-6 during the week. THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION AVERAGING 25-30 hours/month. Perfect position for someone looking to supplement their full time job or for a retiree. - MUST have adequate transportation with current valid drivers license as we have multiple sites within Charlotte that you may be required to work at and also rent Penske moving trucks that you will be required to drive. - Must be willing to submit to pre-employment drug testing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Customers are #1 with us and in this role, you will: - Deliver superior customer service through proper phone techniques, as well as to walk-in customers - Assist personal & business customers with determining storage needs - Rent storage units to attain store revenue goals - Sell related merchandise - Rent moving trucks - Perform light property maintenance/upkeep/cleaning - Must be able to work alone in a fast paced environment What are the characteristics of a successful SALES ASSOCIATE? Energetic & Enthusiastic- Persuasive- Self-Motivated- Outgoing & Confident- Team Player- Customer Service Oriented. Previous experience in self-storage is helpful, but not required as many successful candidates have come from the following industries:- Retail/Sales- Hotel/Restaurant- Travel/Car Rental- Apartment Leasing- Equipment Rental A High School diploma/GED equivalent and at least one year of related experience and/or training in direct sales, retail and/or customer service is preferred. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and to be able to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must hold a current/valid driver's license and must have adequate transportation.
