Flooding from Hurricane Florence

We had some flooding from Hurricane Florence. We have several tenants that have not come to clean out their units nor check for damages. We have called them all. We need to get these units cleaned out so that we don't start having an issue with mold, etc. Does anyone know the legalities of opening the units ourselves to clean out?

Does your lease have an emergency clause.. ?? if so have a company like Betco/ moving company do the move for you into another unit where they picture and video everything in each unit - Like an auction unit. that way you have an invoice and footage.

Alisha has a good idea there to use the third party to picture and video everything. It puts a step of protection between you and the tenant.
